Navigating Change With Luke And Chloe At J&B Marine
Luke Johnson and Chloe Rovegllia are steering J&B Marine into an exciting new era, combining decades of experience with fresh energy and innovation. Luke, who has been with the business for 17 years, and Chloe working within the business for just under two, have taken the reins of the long-standing family enterprise with pride and vision.
Founded in 1993 by Luke’s parents, Johno and Bobbie, J&B Marine has long been a staple of the local boating community. Luke joined the business at just 15, completing his apprenticeship under the guidance of his parents. Over the years, the family-run operation has flourished, expanding its offerings to include boat sales, service, Toro mowers, and a fully stocked boating chandlery. Chloe brings her background in IT and project management to the business, helping streamline operations and support the transition into new ownership.
“Johno and Bobbie have been a massive help in shaping both Luke and I over the past few years,” Chloe says, “mentoring us into taking over the business and keeping the boat afloat.”
Since assuming ownership in July 2025, Luke and Chloe have already marked a number of milestones. The opportunity to continue as Mercury dealers has been a highlight, as has launching an online shopping feature that allows customers to browse products with ease.
For Chloe and Luke, running J&B Marine is about more than transactions; it’s about people. “Our staff have become family to us and aren’t just employees but help our business operate in many ways.” They explain that this philosophy extends to their customers as well, with the team committed to providing top-tier service and ensuring every client leaves satisfied. “Seeing customers happy with the outcome and service we provide is the most rewarding part of what we do,” Chloe adds.
Chloe and Luke see the industry evolving with technology. Online bookings, service reminders, and digital shopping are trends they are embracing to make boating more accessible and convenient for their growing community.
Together, they combine expertise, innovation, and a deep appreciation for the community that has supported J&B Marine for more than 30 years.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Luke enjoys pig hunting and weekends at the reef with family and friends, while Chloe balances her professional life with her project management and their family, spending their free time at their favourite local spots
