The business world never stops.
It’s a consistently evolving landscape, where AI, rising costs and changing customer expectations are reshaping the way regional businesses operate.
On August 27, some of the Whitsundays' brightest business minds will come together to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
From business leaders and industry experts to government representatives, the 2026 Whitsunday Business Conference will unite the region's decision-makers of collaboration and forward-thinking.
“This is about bringing together businesses, industries, educators, leaders, and emerging talent to have honest conversations about where the region is heading and how we build stronger businesses together,” said Whitsundays Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Allan Milostic.
It starts with a panel of rising stars, from young employees, trainees and apprentices, discussing what they’re looking for in the future of work.
What they’re looking for in a ‘Whitsundays Workplace’.
Then, award-winning media and communications expert, Ian Cohen from Cozalive Media, will deliver the keynote presentation.
Drawing on decades of global experience, he'll reveal how to build a brand that thrives under pressure.
The conference then branches into a series of concurrent sessions, putting delegates in the driver's seat to tailor their own experience.
“We’ve moved toward a more intensive program format this year, with deeper sessions, more interaction,” said Chamber Vice President and Chair of the Conference Sub-Committee, Jannah Baker.
Whether it's mastering AI with Rachel Hay and Naomi Porter from James Cook University.
Building high-performing teams for the future workplaces with Michele Tocci.
Or strengthening cash flow with Gus Walsgott, every session leaves business with practical tools they can use now.
The day culminates in an interactive Long Lunch, bringing everyone together for business showcases, more networking opportunities and final announcements.
It's the perfect finale to a day built around the future of regional business.
